Taylor Swift has revealed how she has been spending her free time since splitting up with Joe Jonas.

Writing in her blog, the singer says she now listens to sad songs and talks to her cat whenever she is not on the road.

"I just got back from a five-show run on the road. Now I'm sitting in my kitchen... on the counter. Eating cool whip," she wrote.

"[I'm] trying to think of things to do with my free time. Other than talking to my cat and making playlists of sad songs. Sad songs are awesome, by the way."

The couple broke up earlier this month when Jonas reportedly dumped Swift over the phone.

Taylor Swift Posts Sad MySpace Blog -- Due To Breakup With Joe Jonas?

Post on singer's MySpace blog says she's been 'making playlists of sad songs.'

While Taylor Swift has never confirmed that she and Joe Jonas were an item, she sure is singing a breakup tune on her MySpace blog.

Only a week after US Weekly reported that Jonas broke up with her over the phone, Swift has taken to her MySpace blog to open up about having a lot of free time to feel sad.

"I just got back from a 5 show run on the road. Now I'm sitting in my kitchen...on the counter," she writes. "Eating cool whip. And trying to think of things to do with my free time. Other than talking to my cat and making playlists of sad songs. Sad songs are awesome, by the way."

But she's not letting things get her down; she's also hard at work editing a video that she said will be ready in a few days and getting ready to promote her upcoming album Fearless, due November 11.

"Tomorrow I do more album media preparation/interviews/taped performances/blahblahblahh for album release week," the post continues. "Basically what you do around an album release is you start taping things way in advance, so they can air on TV when the album comes out. So we've been doing all of that for months."

She seems to be more excited about her American Music Award nomination for Favorite Female Artist -- Country, and the actual release of her album, writing, "Every day, my album is closer to being OUT. Yesssss."

At the end of the post, the singer thanks her friends for sticking by her side. "I love you so much for your comments," she writes. "Thank you for saying nice things to me. You have no idea how much that really, really can make my day. You're what makes me smile."
